Character: These 2 houses will appeal people looking for a peaceful retreat in an authentic traditional house offering a come back to the past, but, with all the necessary comfort.
The rich nature gives them the possibility to walk and explore the area, while the close beach offers diverse water-sports activities.

Olive Press Villa can accommodate 7 to 9 persons. Located on the slope of the hill overhanging the traditional village, the 200 years old Olive Press was renovated with skill, taste and respect to the history and the tradition, holding most of the original elements.
The furniture and decoration are traditional and often with antiques. All ceilings are with beams. It is semi-attached to Villa Perry, and connected to it by a common veranda, on the upper floor.
We get into the house through a small stone flagged courtyard. The door opens on a big and warm dining-room with an old fashioned, fully equipped, kitchen corner, then, an upper level leads to a big living room with a Turkish stone fireplace, a TV and a stone-built double bed.
Then a few stairs go down to a bathroom with shower and WC. Small windows, in the whole Olive Press, look out on the fantastic view over the green surroundings.
A bedroom with a double bed communicates directly with the courtyard and a balcony with a table and chairs. It has its own bathroom with shower and WC.
A new upper level brings up to a mansard with a double bed and a single one, such as a bathroom with shower and WC.
Here again, the windows around look out on the great view on the village and the green countryside, while the terrace, common with Villa Perry, offers an even more stretched panorama.
Villa Perry can accommodate 4 persons.
We arrive to the old renovated Venetian house through a stone paved courtyard, on the backside (possible entrance, also on the front side). The furniture and the decoration are, here also, chosen with taste and respect to the tradition, giving a special warm atmosphere to the house.
The ground floor brings to an old fashioned, fully equipped kitchen, built all in stone and to a bathroom with a shower and WC.
We then get into a big living room with, on the left, and on an upper level, a double bed made out of an old loom, and, on the right, a big dining-room with stone-built sofa/beds around the room, a big stone fireplace and a TV.
All ceilings are, here again, with beams.A few stairs lead to the 1st floor and a double bed, such as a single one with an original boat-cabin as a bathroom, to avoid the heavy weight of a normal built bathroom.
A door opens on a balcony that looks out on the lush green countryside.
The big stone veranda of Villa Perry, shared with Olive Press, holds stone elements like old jars, old well, etc.;

Location: 25 km from Hania, 35 km from Rethymnon and 3 km from the beach, the picturesque traditional village of Gavalohori is famous for its, still existing, 30 fountains which used to supply the village in water, but also for its numerous old churches and chapels.
All the necessary shops, taverns and kafenions, can be found in the village, but a better choice is offered in Kalyves, at only 8 km.>
